When I turn on the car the radio/nav screen is stuck in the open position and the display reads (Audi Welcome Screen) then the screen goes blank. Pushing any buttons for the radio/cd/nav does nothing.

Anyone have this problem and more importantly how do I fix this?

I reset the MMI screen by pushing 3 buttons simultaneously and my radio/nav/screen works. The only remaining issue is there is a problem with the screen opening and closing. It gets stuck midway when opening or closing and there is an ugly noise coming from inside the cash sounds like gears grinding. I can "manually" help the screen to the open position and it works fine. I have not attempted to "manually" close the screen fully. Is the motor off the track? Is there a plastic piece broken inside? Do I need a new motor? Any advice?
