I bought an update DVD from a poster on this board. However, the existing DVD doesn't eject when I push the "eject" button. Tried it with the nav running, with audio running, and with MMI off- all no good. I assume that there IS a dvd in there as the nav doesn't work without it (nav is working fine, just want the updated map)? In any case, I tried to gently load the new DVD and it wouldn't go in. Any ideas?

Most likely the eject button is "locked" (electronically). It has to be unlocked (or enabled) with a scanner. Not sure if a Vag-Com will do it or you need the scanner at a dealer.
The eject button is supposed to be unlocked during the PDI process. It's basically like that so the DVD doesn't mysteriously go missing between the factory and the dealership.
Yes, if the nav system works, there is a DVD in there.
