Hi all, this is my first post on this forum.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any other threads that seem to cover the issues that I am experiencing.

I am having trouble with the MMI 2G high system in my B8 S4. The vehicle is a Japanese import into New Zealand and there are a number of issues that have arisen which I have listed below:

• Missing settings from car menu e.g. Drive select
• Settings that do exist are failing to change i.e. the clock is stuck at 0:00 01/01/2000 and refuses to update when I change it
• Reversing camera module and camera itself both exist and are wired up but do not work
• AMI module shows up in engineering mode but does not work
• Telephone connects to bluetooth but stuck on 'please wait...' screen
• Radio reception weak but does receive NZ frequencies
• Sound settings menu lights up when button pressed but does not display on screen or allow me to change anything

The radio is the Bang & Olufsen system.

One thing that I have noticed is that for some reason the HW number for the MMI is D3-HU which corresponds to an '04 A8 and not an 09' S4. I figured that when the vehicle was imported, the module was changed to the D3 unit which is running software version 11.1.0.

Would I be able to fix the issues mentioned above with a direct swap of a B8-HU unit for the D3-HU and removing consumer protection? Or are there other issue that may arise when doing so.

Note: I do not have access to hidden green menu.
