our car has more then one antenna. . more then likely its the antenna in the rear window. If u sit in your back seat there is a panel right before the rear window. U can pop that off and the antenna is under there. it probably has a crack in it causing interference.

Hi Vezon,

I had a similar problem in my car (A4 Cab). What I found with mine is the the antenna wire had broken. The antenna is mounted inside the bootlid. The wire linking the radio to the antenna runs down the side of the car, and through one of the rubber tubes you see between the car and the lid. Over time through opening and closing the lid this will wear because it's being bent at angles that it's not necessarily designed for.

You've got two options really at this stage, you can either buy a replacement and run it through (or have it run through) or you can attempt to identify where the break in the wire is and patch it yourself.

Hope this helps.

Have the same problem here. Radio reception is terrible. I just gave up and bought an xm tuner for $70 and installed it in like 5 minutes in my B6 A4. Way better than regular radio anyway

I have the same problem as well on the B6 A4 I just bought. Fortunately, the dealer is going to replace the antenna for me because I noticed the problem during the test drive (whew!).
