Question B5/ HIDs in stock headlight housing...

Getting the VVME kit for the low beams, as for the fogs...should they also be HIDs? Is it stupid to have both the low beams and headfogs HIDs? Would that be too blinding?

no i have 3 sets of HIDs and they are great and only have ppl flash me if my brights are on
they work great and wouldn't drive with anything else.. and the fogs are low enough they won;t blind drivers and they help with making the road brighter.. i notice a big different with them on and off

I know there are some mixed feelings and opinions about using the original housing for the head lights, but would that be too bright/scatter light all over the place?

well sry for the late reply..but it is in the projector which gives it only the path it will let it go.. look at it this way.. they prob use the same projectors for the hid lights( that you can get as an option from the dealer when u buy the car) and non-hid lights .. now in your brights, yes they will go all over the place.. but thats what u need when it is pitch black out and you wouldnt have ur brights on if there are other cars around u so that doesn't matter anyway i guess

if i were you id maybe think about getting a set from somewhere else ive heard that there not good and a few people had them go out after about a month, so id reconsider a different source for your hids.. maybe DDMtuning.com ive had my 55s from there for about 2 years now and no problems or replacements...

Yeah, I mean it's just for the bargain price. Plus, my bitch *** wouldn't wait to stack on more cash. I will live and learn on my own. But seriously, these things are damn bright. And they're 35's, so I have yet to experience the 55's. I will definitely get the 55's when these break down on me. As for the fogs, I'm getting some better quality 3500k's. My high beams will be some nicer halogen bulbs since flickering will screw with the HIDs/kill its life. Then after I get sick of them, maybe I'll invest in some real fog lights and not just the ones in my headlights...or splice them together to run both...
