Default Best fm transmitter

I cant find an FM transmitter that works for my 2003 Audi A6 3.0. What is the problem? Does any one know of a transmitter that works expecially well for audis?

if you get sick of the bad quality pick up a hardwire ipod harness

seriously, FM transmitters suck. Even 2 inches away from the source they will still give static. Get a hard wired adapter, they are like $100 maybe. the sound quality is way better and you never have to search for stations.

Don't use an FM transmitter. There aren't enough frequencies available in most parts of the country to give you a good, clear signal. It might be nice if you were driving through, say, the desert or something like that, but if you live anywhere near an urban area, don't even waste the money. Besides, of all of the available methods for getting sound from your mp3 player to your car stereo, an FM transmitter gives you the worst quality. From my experience, in terms of audio quality, the ideal methods would be:
1a) Line in/Aux in (cable with headphone plugs at each end)
or
1b) Docks/Cables (iPods and Zunes and the like)

2) Tape Adapters
3) FM transmitters

I am having the same trouble, apparently bose has tiny attenas which are the problem. Also i was told there is no aux input spot for a hardwire application.
