Default blown bose speakers?

i think my front door bose speakers in my 99 a4 are blown. there is some distortion, so i have to fade the sound to the rear. is there a fix for this besides getting new speakers?

Your going to have to get new speakers. I have the same problem. The best thing to do is go to crutchfield and put in your car to see which speakers will work for the car, then go from there. I put in an aftermarket stereo in my 99 a4 and I had to get a converter to bring the speaker out to line level so I wouldn't fry the amplifier. I turned the front left speaker in my car off from the coverter box so I wouldn't hear the blown speaker untill I get some new speakers.
