CD changer behind Seat
Hello Everyone.
I have purchased an Audi tt 1.8 T convertible. I had a cassette radio in the car with no code, it was an Audi Concert or something, I assume it was the original. I purchased it as a cat D, which means that it was an insurance write off. Apparently there was not much wrong with it except it had a small dent behind the driver door.
I replaced it with a newer Radio CD player. Looking at my car the other day I discovered a compartment behind the passenger seat
In this small compartment there is what appears to be a slot for a CD changer to slot into. I think that was also original. Now my Question.
Dose anyone out there familiar with this secret compartment and the CD changer. I did not get any manual with the car, Just one Key. No service history. Any information on the CD changer that slots into it would be helpful as I would like to return it to it's original state. the replacement Radio , CD player has large buttons interfere with the nifty metal radio cover.
I know it is an older car but it is a classic. Close to the original concept car and the first 225 BHP Quattro TT. I have done some good work to it with new rear breaks complete with new callipers and discs. New duel mass flywheel. and new thermostat. I have a few more little jobs to do like a new timing belt and water pump. and a sensor rebuild. the way I see it is it is a quality sports car that deserves respect.
