Default Hi I'm new to the forum. Help needed fitting new Audi Symphony :-)

Hi, I'm new and would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I have an A4 Avant 2006 (56)

I currently have an Audi symphony with 6cd and cassette player in it. (very dated)
I have purchased and want to fit the newer symphony (bigger screen and just 6cd) only problem being the connections/plugs are different at the rear of the stereo.

Does anyone know if there is an adapter (plug and play) on the market out there or and advice how I can fir this into my car.

Thanks in advance.

Carly

Hi Carly,

I am also looking to upgrade my Symphony 2 (Radio, 6CD, Cassete) head unit to the Symphony 2+ (Radio, MP3 6CD) unit so I can use MP3 CD's. I found a forum where somebody has completed the upgrade and they used the harness adaptor for the RNS-E unit and it worked.

I have seen loads fo the harness adaptors on eBay, so I might buy one and give it a try (when I can find a symphony 2+ at a a good price!) Make sure you buy the correct harness, they have non-bose one's and Bose one's.

I have an Audi A3 8P buy the way with the Symphony 2 radio installed with Bose.

Let me know how you get on.

Regards
Jamie

Default Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your reply. I have just purchased one off eBay. If it works I will let you know. Mine has Bose system too so if it's working ok I'll give you the item number to purchase one for yourself. Thanks again Carly
