Default HID problem (annoyance)

I recently bought an 05' A4 (1.8T) from a dealer. My headlights are definatley HID, but do not look stock (not sure who makes them, no lable, no clue what companies make conversion kits). The 'Capacitors' (little boxes for each light that are wired to the bulbs) are visible and kinda stuffed in an area where they wont get damaged or interfer. The problem i keep having is when i first turn my lights on, the passenger side light does not turn on. If i flip the lights on and off a few times it eventually kicks in and will stay on. Once they are both on i have no problems for the most part. Any ideas? sounds like a wiring problem. If, so are there any links on how to wire up an HID conversion kit?

Also, i have noticed that other Audis can have the parking lights on and fog lights at the same time, but not the main headlights. My fog lights do not come on when i have the lights in the "parking" or first setting, and the fog light setting. I have a feeling this is related to my HID problem.

Any ideas and/or help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards -Andrew

u have to vag to have ur fog lights on while ur driving lights are on. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189119
and with ur hid maybe make sure ur wires are plugged up all the way. u say they turn on and once they are on it works fine right. so just check ur wires. Hids take a couple of seconds to charge the gas inside the bulb. Mine take like 2 seconds to actually light. but check the connections and if it still dosent work go to ddm tunning and get urself a new ballast they are reasonalbly cheap.

I have taken my headlight out and checked all the connections. Everything seems fine. I am going to replace the ballast and see if that works. Thanks for all the help and advice.
