Installation help and information
I recently bought a rockford fosgate amp, 5.25" components for the front and 6.5" coaxials for the back. All are fosgate, and i also have the correct wiring kit for the amp. Now I am looking for some help from people who have already installed their systems. I have a 99.5 A4 without bose, concert head unit. This i am not replacing, as I like the clean look. I also have the factory 6cd changer. Here are my questions:
-How do i connect the amp to the head unit, i know there are no RCA's.
-Where have people successfuly run wires to and from the amp as well as from the amp to the battery?
-Should I use the existing speaker wires or start over with new wiring?
-Are there any wiring guides available online for the job?
Thanks for the help.

1) You can connect the amp to the HU using a Line output converter. Usually around $15 it connects to a pair of speaker wires and turns the signal into an RCA signal.
2) As for running wires through the car. The car is very easy to take apart. Run your RCAs down the drivers side of the car and Power down the passengers side. When connecting the amp to the batter you are going to want to take down the glove box and there is a grommet right behind it that will allow you easy access to the battery. Much easier then trying to fish it thorugh the drivers side firewall(ive done both)
3.) You can use the existing speaker wire if you want for the fronts becuase it can be quite the pain running your own wire into the door. Just put the passive crossover somewhere behind the door panel and you will be set. FOr the rears you are going to have to run new speaker wire since they are amplified but it should be too hard.
