Hello everyone! I am planning to buy the A3 sportback 2.0TD with S-line interior and exterior. What I want to do is get my own front piece for the stereo. I was thinking about the Kenwood ones which have the 7' LCD monitor which pops out. my question is, would I have any problems installing that in my Audi since I will have the BOSE speaker system installed already by the factory. Would the bose system work correctly even if I have my own front piece as my stereo and not the factory one they give me....(The AUDI people told me that I can have the DINS empty without ordering the factory stereo like this I can go out there and buy my own)thanx in advance

 

before my Audi Sport 90, i had a nissan maxima equipped with the bose system... in that car, i know that the bose system only sounded good with all around bose if you wil... im assuming it'll probably be the same way and i know that the bose system in the audi's take a dive after like 10 years... as soon as i got my audi... i put in my infinity door and tweeters and my premiere subs... much much better than stock.... hope this helps...

 

The bose system will work with the HU you plan to purchase but since the bose system is amplified you are going to have to rewire the whole car and connect each individual speaker to your new HU and this could present a problem depding on the number of speakers and their impedance
