I hope that somewone out there might be able to assist me, I am afraid that I am not very clued up when it comes to stereos and especially not the Audi MMI!

My dad has an A8 and for christmas i thought i would get an iPod adaptor for the MMI system in his car. So far, I have only found the Denison Gateway 500, which is 419 euros (a bit above my budget - equivalent to about 300 quid!).

I am willing to pay a fair amount, as otherwise i think he wants an iTrip (and i have used these before without much luck) which I think would be a bit of a waste of money. If you have that excellent system, who wants the interference?!

Does anyone know of any alternatives where we can plug the ipod directly into this system that are cheaper than the Denison, and also that i might be able to obtain in the UK?
