It plugs into the cdc port on the back of the head unit. My car didn't have a cd changer but my head unit is a Symphony II that had the CD changer option.

If you search the electronics forum, someone did a nice step by step with photos on the same setup. But to answer your question, the Ipod interface plugs into where the CD changer is now plugged in (you will not be able to use the CD changer anymore). It is pretty straight forward, any installer would now where to plug it in.

So i've got the same ice link connector and for the price its awesome, the only thing i hate though is i have to take it off the dock to change songs because it give me the "accessory connected" screen which drives me crazy. Have you found any way around this?

I don't have that issue, I can control the ipod from both the steering wheel and the head unit. I think if you hit the disk 6 key it brings up the screen to switch between the dension screen and the ipod screen. you should be able to skip through songs without pulling the ipod out.

icelink! I heard those were hard to get a hold of.

how does it compare the prolink or the dice kit? iv been shopping for a few months and they seem to be pretty close in features and I am having trouble choosing one.

I found a site offering a pretty good discount with free shipping..kinda want to pull the trigger already.
