So I just replaced the tail light on my 2005 A8 quattro (took two hours) and was feeling pretty good about the car. It looked great, I just washed it and now I'm going to drive out to meet a buddy for a few beers.. I get in the car and hit the button to pop out the MMI screen.. (my gears are a little messed up so I have to manually help it up) the screen came up and went completely off. The screen is now in the up position and will not respond to anything..??? The buttons on the bottom fm/radio/nav/setup/phone/name etc are not light up either. WTF is going on? I've done some research and people are saying the BOSE AMP needs to be replaced.. I called the dealer just to find out how much that is from them (shouldn't have done that) and they want anywhere between $1500 and $2400. Has anyone experienced this problem? I've checked fuses and everything seems fine. The car drives fine it's just the MMI is completely off. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
