new system in 99 A6....head unit question
Hey everyone,
I am looking to install a sound system in my 99 A6 this summer and I have been told by some people that getting a new head unit would be the best idea, because it would get better sound than splicing into the read speaker wire. Also I don't have the Bose system so I am open to it since i got the subs and amp for free. I was wondering if it would be possible to put in one of the big touch screen units such as: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...s/AVH-P3100DVD
I noticed that the current head unit takes up a lot of space and I would hate to replace it with a little tiny rectangle. I also don't need a GPS unit because I already have a seperate gps.
So to summarize, I have a 1999 A6 with the non-Bose system now. I would like to put one in there this summer and wanted to know
(A) Is it worth it to get a new head unit?
(B) Could I fit a touch screen one like in the link
