Default Question on upgrading maps dvd

Hi,

I have an 08' A4 with Navigation. It came with the 2007 maps. The disk says RNS-E. I bought on ebay the 2008-2009 maps, part number 4E0 919 884 BK. These maps mention the MMI. When i put this new DVD into my unit it's not recognized. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need a RNS-E dvd? Or did I get a defective DVD? Any help would be apprecaited?

Thanks!

confirm with your audi dealer. You need to have an mmi nav system which comes in a8 and i think is offered in a6. if it does not work let me know as i might be interested in buying the disc from you.

Default '08 w Navi

I am assuming you have a US market 2008 which is still B7 body so from what I read also you need the one dvd that's made for RNS-E which is this older system enclosed in the center console. The MMI is for the newer Audi's with the display integrated heads up on top of console.
I wanted to ask you if your RNS-E system displays radio station name (RDS) also on the info display on clusters or just on the navi screen? I also have the '08 with Navi (B& with RNS-E) but my info display on cluster only shows frequency (104.1Mhz) not the name (KRBE Radio). Also, for the Memorized bank neither one diaplays the radio station name.
Please let me know about your case.
Thank you!
