have a 99 a4.has a concert radio in it. i got the car and the person before me told me the radio was taken out wrong so it doesn't work. what can i do about this or do i need to get a new radio

 

can u explain. Does it power up or say safe on it? Or just nothing at all?

have u checked your fuses? Have u pulled the radio?

 

all my fuses are good and yes i have. but it didnt' work before i pulled it. like i said the person before me said he pulled it wrong so it kicked on the anti theft device in the radio.

 

so does the radio say safe on it? It should if i thought it were being stolen. Most of the time u can call and audi dealership and give them your vin and they can give u a radio code. Though i know sometimes it cost money sometimes it dosent. All depends on who u get or unless one of the guys on the site who works at audi can help u out.

 

yes i understand that but like i said when i bought it the radio didn't work. by not working i mean you press power and nothing happens. no lights come on, no safe word comes up. just blank

 

then u must have a wiring issue with your remote to provide power to the radio.

 

If theres no power and you have checked the fuses you are going to have to pull the stereo forward and probe the constent and the rem wire making sure theres juice there. If there isnt then your stereo is messed up and your going to need a new one or an aftermarket one.
