I have 107k miles on my 2014 A7 Prestige and love it. However, it's the generation prior to Apple Car Play. I have seen a number of aftermarket companies with direct replacements screens (a little larger plus they add touchscreen) and electronics that allow me to use apple or android. All seem to be located outside the US.

I see pricing in $600 - $1,500 range which would be worth it to me for a functional and factory-like system.

The ones I have seen use the current Audi steering wheel etc controls and seem highly integrated - so no dangling cords or separate controls - pretty factory-like which is what I like.
