Default remote start question

I have an 03 audi a4 1.8t with a stock alarm system, that works really well. I don't wnat to lose the alarm system and don't wnat to put a new one in but i want a remote start. I know where i can get just a remote start with nothing else, but i was wondering if it would be hard for me to install myself..can someone let me know if they have done it and if it was hard...thanks

with an audi you will need an anti-theft bypass module and audi are not the easyest to install alarms or remote starts on now if you where talking about a 95 civic those are super simple cars to do but an audi my advise is pay a pro to do it

I installed one on my moms Windstar way back in the day and it took me almost four hours. I swear I'll never do one of those again in my whole life!

Default 2000 A6 remote start

I want to put a remote start on my 2000 A6 4.2 Quattro. Half of the places I called said they don't recommend it because of problems with the system communicating with the cars computer, and the other half said no problem doing it. Anyone that might have some experience with this would be great as I do not want or need any electrical issues.
