Default What format of CD's can I play in my CD changer?

I've never really burned CD's for music, I switched over to an mp3 player years ago but I want to burn a few cd's to play in my 99.5 A4 until I get up the energy to either install an aux input for the factory radio or just get a new aftermarket head unit with an aux in. I tried burning a cd, I think it was in mp3 format and tried to play it in the car and just got the "CD ERR" message. I know the changer works fine with cd's you buy, but can it play any formats you burn yourself? My 99.5 A4 has the concert radio with the cd changer in the trunk.

use CDRWs if u run windows and have Cyberlink DVD Suite, u can choose the mp3 option and fit about 100 songs at the highest quality. Or u can go on iTunes and make a new playlist and burn the playlist

good luck
