Default what the heck is this?

Recently purchased an A8 and have this attached electronic device on the front/rear of the car. It is apparently wired into the dash through a 3-position rotary switch. Car has factory parktronics that do work, so it is not a parking device. Any ideas?

Three manufactureres come to mind. K40, Rocky mountain radar (make mostly Jammers) and Beltronics. The different chirps are the different radar or laser bands it encounters. Most likelyl the switch is for sensitivity and or mutingl. If it is a rotary know, then that would be volume. All brands that have this type of system usually represents the best they have. Hope it helps.
