Default wire

2000 A6. Anyone know where this wire is supposed to go and/or anyone know of a good resource to help figure it out. I have the Bentley Service manual and cant find it there. The wire is part of a bundle that comes out of the main computer on the drivers side under the ABS module.

Mr. Asshat,

If I had to guess, and this really just is speculation, I would say it somehow connects to the brake pad sensor. I guess this because it appears to only have 2 wires, much like the circuit for the brake pad sensors.

Respectfully,

Mr. Tyler

First things first. Mr. Tyler will not work for me as a form of address for you. I think something like....The Damn Yankee works better.

Mr. DamnYankee,
I would agree with your theory that this wire is associated with the brake pad wear detector except that I had to change the right front ABS sensor and therefore know that the pad wear wire is part of that bundle and goes thru the firewall from the wheel well and connects under the dash down near the feet.

Disrespectfully,
Mr. Asshat

DamnYankee....I like that

Master AssHat,

Since my original theory was mistaken, I will go with WAG (wild *** guess) B: Obviously, it goes to the flux capacitor.

I pulled up an old pic from back to the future and I'll be damned it does go to the flux capacitor but you cant reach the connector unless your on a hoverboard.

I would highly recommend staying at 87 MPH or slower until you get this fixed.
