yes if u put a 55watt 6000kelvin bulb in your fogs you risk the potential for melting your fog housing and burning down your car. Also if u plan on getting a 55watt 6000k for the low beams then u m ight want to get a 35 watt 4500k for the fogs so they will match as the higher wattage will wash out a little bit of the color and not match.

yea that sounds about right. I have the 35 watt all around in my car but i know i heard that the 55 watt and 35 watt wont match if u get the same kelvin temp. Should work out though the way u say. Might do soem reasearch before just to verify before u purchase.

No, it won't. Direct wattage comparisons between halogen and HID aren't applicable. 55w halogens draw that power to illuminate. Xenon bulbs are driven by a transformer that steps up voltage from 12v (supplied by the car) to 22,000v for bulb ignition and steady-state 75/85v for continued operation. The ballasts only require a 35w draw on the car to get enough juice to create that much voltage.

Both are 35watt 8000k. The higher in kelvin you go the dimmer it gets. 8000k is enough for me to not worry bout oncoming drivers flashing me.
