need help with custom exhaust on my a6?

i have a 1998 a6 2.8 quattro and i wanna add some performace mufflers to it but problem is my muffler tips wont show because i have the grey lower bumper piece that hides them so is it possiblei can cut out to round shapesso the exhaust tips show like the 2.7t or 3.0 audi?

theres a kit on lltek.com i think it is and it think there templates and stuff to help you there
