Default Removing scratches

I have a bunch of scratches on my bumper and driver's side back panel, not sure what they are from, but I am starting to upgrade my car and it just looks ugly now. Its weird cause you can see the primer through the scratches but its still smooth to the touch. Here are some pics that will hopefully show you what I mean. I basically just want to know what the best way to get rid of these damn things is.

That doesnt look like primer, it looks like the clearcoat. You should be able to use some compound and buff it out.

Most of those scratches will come out. Color sand (wet sand) lightly with 2000 grit wet or dry paper.

Then use a 1500 grit compound on a NON ORBITAL buffer with a cotton pad.

Change to a foam finishing buff pad and 2000 or 2500 grit finishing paste.

I work at a body shop and do alot of minor sctratch repair. Just remember to stay away from edges with the paper and buffer. You'll burn ritght through the paint. I'd also reccomend using 3M compounds, paper and buff pads.

Good luck!
