Whoa! figured out problem. I unistalled Norton Internet security and everything started to work again.

Raise your hand if you feel like an idiot. *raises hand*

 

EEEWWW! Don't use norton! They got caught developing viruses to flood the internet with so more people would buy their virus software! Plus the footprint of norton (or mcafee for that matter) is huge! I'd suggest AVG or the like..its free, updated daily and has the smallest footprint and fastest scanning of any virus checker I've used.
