Default spam, I am accused of it as well; BUT !

1. I put it in the marketplace; it is products that are for this type of forum and
most of all I do not do PRIVATE EMAILS randomly to members and I do give back useful comments as I have rebuilt a TT three times in over 6 years along with owning a VW Jetta since 2003
Now I have done this which is spam and I may do it again but just as a public service announcement . Tell me this wrong and I will agree. I also received the same as above.

It is wrong as it's unsolicited produce placement, which is against the rules of AF. This warning is the first step. Banning you is the next step.

NorthD,

If you want to do product placement within the forums, you will need to become a sponsor. The marketplace is for people who want to sell "an" item, or items personally owned. NOT for commercial products, EXCEPT for sponsors and their vendors.

Your not missing anything. I have no problem. I clearly understand the rules.
I hope to contribute in the giving and receiving from all forum members in a understandable and retainable rederick.

Thank You for Your concerns.

Its been explained via PM, in detail, to NorthD that he cannot have active links to commercial products UNLESS he is a sponsor or authorized vendor. Anything he does via PM is, by definition, personal, not commercial. As long as he is not initiating unsolicited PM to our members, it remains personal, not commercial.

BTW, I also told him it was OK to include the occasional link to public service sites/messages (.org's, for instance), as long as there was NO for-profit/commercial intent at/on the destination website.

He says he wants to help and contribute, which is good. And, he apparently owns a business, which is irrelevant, as long as he doesn't bring his business directly onto the forums w/o being an authorized sponsor/vendor.

If he starts including commercial links, or begins initiating PM-spam, to increase business, and we hear about it, he will be banned. I am 100% certain NorthD understands the rules and ramifications for circumventing them.
