I recently purchased a mint condition 1998 A8 with 126K. Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, belts, at 121K . Also found out that the transmission was replaced new at 65K (April 2003). The new transmission (now with 61K on it) has never been flushed. Has been a dealer mantained car and the dealership is the one that replaced the new tranny. The transmission shifts flawlessly and shows no signs of the mentioned problems on many post's. The question is, would you have it flushed with new fluids?Am Ipressing my luck opening this up at 61K miles? Should I just leave things alone?
