I have an A6 that went into transmission fail safe. The car was operating fine all day, pulled into a store, came out 15 minutes later, and the car went into fail safe mode on start up. Does this sound like a fluid level issue or could it be a pump or ecu problem? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this vehicle so any assistance is greatly appreciated.
