Question 2000 1.8t quattro ignition trouble??????

I have a 2000 A4 1.8t quattro automatic with 97000 miles (mainly highway miles). A few months ago I replaced all of my plugs and ignition coils. After replacing the coils one of the connector to the coils wasn't all the way seated so the check engine light went on and the engine idle was very rough. After re-seating said connector there were no problems. Last night on my way home I got a check engine light and intermittently the engine would start to run rough and the check engine light would flash only while the engine was running rough and stay steady when it wasn't running rough. I pulled over to check it and as I moved the connector that wasn't seated fully on the coil a few months ago the rough idle went away, but the check engine light didn't. This morning the same issue occurred, and when I went to re-seat the connector I noticed that if I moved the wires going into the connector a little it would run fine, but not for long. I haven't pulled the code yet due to my work schedule. I am wondering if this sounds like it is an issue with the connector it self, the wiring to the connector or even the ignition coil? I was also wondering if there is anywhere I could order a new connector for the coil? If anyone could help me on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Well pull the connector off the coil and check the pins on both the connector and the coil. If one of the pins on the coil is bent there is the problem, same with the female connector end. If they both look fine check the fault code, if its only a misfire on one cylinder swap that coil pack to a different cylinder and see if the misfire moves. If it doesn't you are looking at a wiring issue. The connectors usually aren't sold seperately from the engine harness but you can find used ones at www.shokan.com
