Default 2000 A8 TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT COST

I am looking to do some routine maintenance although a bit late on my old girl. She has 92K on her and I wnat to find a repair shop to do the work. Anyone out there can tell me what they should run for this scope of work. I am not able to do the work myself so a good facility might be appreciated as well.

Find an independent mechanic. $800 would seem reasonable.

Just be careful, on earlier model A8s you need very specific tools to get the timing right. Later models need a completely different set of tools although the basic design of the engine is the same. Just a stupid quirky thing that germans do to make things complicated.
