2001 quattro running rich
Hey guys, recently picked up an 01 quattro cheap to flip but may have decided to keep it as a winter beater. Car is already tuned (not sure what its tuned on), front mount, bigger injectors blah blah blah. When i picked it up the car was throwing codes for Cam position sensor (bank 1) and MAF. Just replaced both and turned off the codes however the wideband is still reading extremely rich (idling in the 9s). i figured this was due to bad MAF but no change since i swapped it. Is it possible the innovative wideband just went bad? Car seems to run fine and pull fine

You may have a coolant temp sensor going bad. It's a $20 part and fairly easy to swap out. It is held in by a plastic clip that WILL break when you remove it. Even if it doesn't break, replace it because they get brittle over time. Anyway, if the coolant temp sensor is giving erroneous data to the ECU, it can cause a rich condition if it is reporting lower coolant temps than actual.
