This is my first post.

I recently got my 2003 A4 Quattro 5sp with 98K miles. Since this car is new to me I really don't know if this is normal. Everything stock. Engine, rims, tires etc.

I live in Arizona so I do a lot of highway driving and 75 - 80 MPH is pretty normal speed just about everywhere. When I'm driving at around 82 MPH in 5th gear my engine is at 4000 RPM. It seems very high to me.

Does anyone else has this issue....or is this normal?

Otherwise the car runs perfect. Plenty of power and it's really comfortable.
