Hi Guys, first post here. I bought a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T with 160k miles on it. It was a pretty decent deal and the car looked pretty clean, but i'm wondering if when the timing belt was last changed. I brought it to the indy mechanic for an oil change and all new tires and back brakes, and casually asked if he had any idea, and he said he didn't see a sticker anywhere as to when it was replaced. Ive heard it needs to be done around 100k miles, but is it possible this has never been done? Also if i buy the kit online for roughly $400.00, any idea how much a good indy shop would charge for labor? Please advise! The more the merrier!
