hi guys, first post on here and really hope someone can help.
i purchased my 2007 a3 sline only a few weeks ago and have an issue with the radio turning itself off and on and each journey is different. sometimes it will do it once or 6 - 7 times in a 10 mile journey and could happen near the end of the journey or at the begining. it is being caused by depressing the clutch, indicator and sometimes going round corners.

Sounds like a loose connector on the back. Get some radio removal keys ( they slip into little slots in the face of the radio that disengage the clips that hold it in) of an online vendor (they're $10). I picked up a set on Ebay a while back. Remove the radio and check to make sure the plugs on the back are secure. It'll take 15 minutes as it's a snap to remove the radios in these things with the removal keys.

 

Thanks for the reply. I've already had the radio out and disconnected and reconnected the plugs but it didn't work. I've been informed of 2 possible faults 1 being an earth issue and the 2nd an ignition problem. Finding how to correct it without taking to audi is proving difficult.
