Hey guys, new to the audi forums. I am a Mopar guy and always on the ram forums but my wife got an audi a few months back and the other day it was having trouble starting. The guys at O'Reilly said that battery tested bad and the car needed a jump. So I got a new battery and they said something about using an obd11 to set an adaptation so the car knows its a new battery, which by the way is lame as hell. Well the obd11 I got off Amazon was apparently used and locked so now I play the waiting game for a new one but my big question I have is that when I swapped the battery and then turned on the accessories to run the obd11 there was several malfunction codes for all the systems. When I finally use the scanner to do the adaptation will all these malfunctions go away or is there something else I have to do? I'm usually pretty good and self diag but these newer cars being all computer ran are completely different from what I am used to. Sorry for the long post.
