I recently bought a 1990 Audi 90. I have since replaced the alternator, belts, fuel pump, fuel filter, and distributer. It now will not start. For the last few days, it would start, only after several minutes of trying, and after driving it, it would start easier, but from a "cold" start - no. I spoke with a "knowledgeable" person about cars and he claims it's not my starter (which other people have said it sounds bad)..he claims it's a fuel delivery problem.

I read on another site that someone had a similar problem and it turned out to be the "Hall Sender", What the hell is that?

Any suggestions are appreciated, I've put well over $1000 of work in this $875 car. I want to love it, but right now I want to drive off the nearest bridge!

Well its been a very long time since you posted this but I am currently haveing the same issue, did you by chance figure it out or did you turn it into a fireball
