i have 98 a4 2.8 quattro... i was sitting at a redlight and it just died very smooth. no sputter or anything. but then cranked back up. i dont understand whats going on. has not done it since its been about a week..any help would be appreciated! thanks

 

I have the exact same car year and everything. Mine did the same thing at a stop sign this morning. I would like to think its because its -3 outside. I'll look forward to what others have to say.

 

Anyone? Mine has gotten worse. Seems to come with the cold.

 

My 97 A4 does not like the cold either--rough starts in the morning. makes a whining sound, which i assume is a cold serpentine belt and fan clutch. This stalling problem has only happened once for me too
