Hi new to this and am wondering if anyone knows why the turbo on my a4 tdi 110 cuts out at about 2500 revs under hardish acceleration and wont come back until the engine is switched off and back on again? Feels like a rev limiter or somthing. Also can anyone tell me if the projection headlights from a 2000 model (not new shape) will fit mine.cheers

 

Check t make sure your wategate control solenoid isnt sticking. Also check for leaks in the wastegate lines.

 

Hey thanks for that, Havent had time or to be honest the knowledge to investigate your suggestion but am looking into it at weekend. Seriously quick response by the way.

 

Use a vacuum pump to apply vaccum to the line leading to the wastegate control solenoid. That should give you full boost all the time. Then youll know if the control valve is sticking.
