Hi guys! My name is Antonio and I'm a proud owner of a '98 2.8 A6, 100.500 miles.
Yesterday I was parking my car at home and the engine suddently quitted while the D was on.
So i putted the transmission to P and I restarted the engine, back to D and accelerate, but the engine quitted in a sec.
Now if I put R od D the transmission slams hard, then if I accelerate the engine quits soon. If I keep the P and accelerate, then the engine runs ok even if the engine check light is on.
Does anybody have an idea of what kind of problem could it be?

does it has suck a clutch? it's like if the clutch doesn't works, so the engine shuts off.
