A4,1900td,starting.

A4,1900td,starting.

Any ideas,sometimes it starts first time hot or cold,other times it will start and run for 2 to 3 seconds then stops.This can happen up to 5 or 6 turns then runs,i have checked the fuel solinoid on the pump to no avail.

Sorry, not familiar with that engine so my thoughts are somewhat generic...
Plugs maybe?

What year is it?
