A4 1998 quattro 2.8 camber issues
I recently got myself the above car a little while ago to restore and have fun with.
But ive come across an issue with front camber
I had the car placed on the laser equipment at work and the results where wot i expected.
-3 degress on both front wheels
i have checked the components on the car and they are not bent or have excessive play,
when i raise the car off the floor the camber angle does not alter AT ALL,
it seems to be completly stiff with no movement.
i cant say if the previous owner has had any parts replaced on the car but it seems very strange that both front readings are the same??
any advice would be greatfull. thanks

Camber adjustment sucks on the front of these cars. It's set when you install the upper control arms - the angle relative to the strut when you torque them will determine your camber. I think if I remember right, it's like 47 degrees relative to align the camber to factory spec.

a little scratch of the head????? so are you saying when the torque the upper arms this sets the camber ??
you could say thats true if it had a elongated hole or lug, but they dont. well should i say i cant see one.
is this info written down anywhere?
thanks for the reply, will check car over again tomorrow.
