Default A4 Steering Noise?? Help

2005 A4 1.8T steering issue. I have an issue when I make a hard left turn. at low to moderate speed, when I yank/turn the wheel hard to the left I get a fairly loud bang/crack that seems to come from only the front passenger side wheel. It is a single bang, as if something dislodged or "slips" and yet the car turns fine and there is no squeeking or other noise. I have had someone look at the play in the wheel when the car is jacked up but we could not find anything. Any suggestions?? It is alarming to me and I do a lot of highway driving

Sounds like a CV joint issue. Did you checked this part?
