Hello all. I'm a newbie on the forum and with my new 2007 A6.

I can't seem to get the map lights to turn on in the car. I've looked through the manuals for perhaps a safety feature or a control that might disable them, and can't seem to find one.

Before I take it back to the dealer, I thought I'd ask the group wisdom about this.

Have they always not worked, or is it a recent thing?

 

Well, I just picked the car up from the dealer 2 days ago. As long as I've had the car, I can't get them to work.

This is why I was wondering if maybe they were disabled or something??

I have to bring it back to the dealer on Friday for the Nav and iPod installation, I will ask them at that time... I just thought I was doing something wrong....?

I did check the map lights in the rear seats, and they are working. It is just the fronts that won't turn on at all.
