a6 skid pan removal
Hi - I am new here...and was checking on oil change procedures for a 2005 A6.
Is there a post that details oil change steps/filter model, etc? I couldn't find one for this car (3.2)
I see there is a skid pan that needs to be removed.
Any trick to this?
Thanks.
Jeff

The pan is probably the hardest part of the oil change. Especially if you dont have a lift. The plastic quarter turn screws that hold the belly pan to the fenderliner are kinda a pain to get off. The filter is cake. You just remove the plastic cover at the rear of the engine up on top. It just pulls off. The canister for the oil filter is under there. Make sure you replace both rubber o rings.
THanks for the pics/directions.
On the filter...any suggestions on where to order them (I see it is a canister type). Do the O rings come with the filter or are they separate?
Thanks.
