Hi folks, new to this site and forum and hoping to get a bit of guidance / suggestions as to why I seem to be having a problem with my heating/air con.

I have a 2004 A3 which has the digital heating & air con system combined. The problem I have is that despite setting the temperature to over 25 degrees on both sides, the passenger side still has cold air blowing in the footwell constantly - whether set to blow via dashboard, windscreen or footwell. Drivers side is ok. Dash and windscreen vents all work in accordance with the temperature settings on both sides.

Have come to the conclusion either something has become disconnected or perhaps a thermostat or element blown.

Any ideas anyone, before I rip the dashboard out?????
