hi everyone,
2004 a4 2.0sport avant .the hazards on the car are flashing as soon as the battery is connected and also i couldn't open the tailgate.what i've tried so far is i've checked the centlal locking modul under the carpet front of passagers seat,there was no signs of any damp but sent it to bba reman,it became to been faulty and they repaired it and is back on the carnow.
while the module was away i stripped the tailgate interior down and opened it from inside there was alot of dirt and rust around the latch area.i've cleaned it and check all microswites (door open/shut,switch for opening the door and latch position ones) they all seamed ok .but there is no power comming to the acuator(solenoid) for opening the door i checked the solenoid and is ok too,but not power comming to it.when the hazards are not flashing as soon as i touch the microswich for the latch position they comes on again which is pointing me the problems with the tailgate are activating them too?.
