Could someone please tell me the proper oil capacity of an 2.7t motor. I just went to change my oil and there is no way my owners manual is correct. I put 6 quarts in there and it was still low. I added a 7th and it still seems a little low. Any help would be great!

 

6.9 qt according to the Bentley manual.
I just did an oil change 2 dyas ago and I put in all 7 qts. Why bother keeping .1 qt and have the bottle sit in my garage...?

 

the '03 4.2 takes 8 so sounds right.
also, if you have a receipt from last time you had someone else do it, look at the quantity on it.

 

6.9qts.. good call...

 

holy crap, mkae me feel small using no more than 5.3 quarts.
