Audi A6 Quattro timing belt
99 Audi A6
Just bought this car, cranks over but does not start.
Removed timing belt cover and found belt broken.
Is this an interference motor?
Should i junk it or fix??

yes it is an interference motor
if the belt is gone/broken there is a good possibility that the valvetrain is toast.
junk or fix really depends on your level of commitment and available funds
if you decide not to fix it you can make some decent money on a part out

Did the prior owner let you know about this? Or just tell you they didn't know why it doesn't run?
